Author Fraser McAlpine is launching his book Stuff Brits Like at the Waterstones in Truro on Thursday, July 23rd at 7pm.
Fraser McAlpine was born to Scottish parents in Grimsby and lives in Cornwall. He spends most of his life explaining Brits to foreigners as editor of the BBC’s Anglophenia website.
He explains why Doctor Who could only have come from Britain, the appeal of Sunday night nostalgia TV, why cricket is a form of siege warfare in whites, why Brits can’t agree on the top movies - and why he’s chosen The Great Escape, Kes, Four Weddings, Trainspotting and the Railway Children.
Readers are expected to be laughing out loud, in a most un-British.
This event is open to the public and free. Book signing will take place on a first come first served basis.
