A 41-year-old has been jailed after causing the death of a driver on the M5 near Highbridge last year.

Piotr Trojanowski, 41, from Weston-super-Mare has been sentenced to 54 months in prison for death by dangerous driving.

In October 2014, Trojanowski drove a DAF articulated tractor and trailer on the M5 near Highbridge. His dangerous driving resulted in a collision which resulted in the death of another motorist.

On June 19 Piotr Trojanowski pleaded guilty to death by dangerous driving.

He was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £120 and will serve 54 months in prison.

He will be disqualified from driving for 7 years and will need to pass an extended driving test.
