THE West Somerset Railway Association is holding its annual Steam Fayre and Vintage Vehicle Rally at Norton Fitzwarren next month.

In pride of place are the mighty steam engines including steam ploughing and wood sawing.

Local farming heritage is celebrated at the rally, with working displays, trusty vintage tractors, Land Rovers, and stationary engines.

There will also be hundreds of classic cars and motorbikes on display and displays about life during World War II including tanks and military vehicles, vintage buses, lorries and emergency vehicles.

Railway fans can have a go on the pump trolley or ride on the miniature railway.

You can also explore the rally site, bordered by the railway ‘turning triangle’, on a steam hauled ‘brake van’ ride.

There is something for all the family including children’s entertainments, crafts and models, trade stalls, railway exhibits and a refreshment tent selling a range of local ales and ciders.

New for 2015 is a Village Green area where you can see traditional crafts such as blacksmith, willow basket making, wood turning, and wool spinning.

You can also enjoy donkey rides or a delicious cream tea from a vintage caravan.

The rally will take place on August 1 and 2.
