STUDENTS from Taunton School International Middle School at Kingston St Mary have raised a magnificent £1,700 for UNICEF during the past school year.
The first fundraising event was the ‘Grow a Pound’ challenge, which required Tutor Groups to think up inventive ways of raising money starting with just £1.
Ideas included football tournaments, candy floss sales and giving roses for Valentine’s Day.
The highlight event was the May Fayre with the students planning and running their own stalls and events including musical performances, gladiator battles and even a few staff bravely stepping into the stocks.
