WHERE there’s a will there’s a way of making more than £5,000 for charity. Generous Pardoes staff have been making hundreds of free wills for Bridgwater people to raise £5,725 for charity.

Will Aid is the UK’s leading charity will-writing scheme.

The solicitors taking part offer their time and expertise without charge to give everyone the opportunity to make or update their basic will in return for a donation to one of several charities.

The money raised - more than £21,000 so far over the years - will go to charities including ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, and Sightsavers.

National spokesperson for Will Aid, Peter de Vena Franks, said: “The Will Aid charities are so grateful for the hard work of the team at Pardoes.

“This has been a very successful campaign and overall we expect the final total to be near £2million.”
