THE Conservatives have strengthened their grip on control of Sedgemoor District Council at the expense of Labour and the Liberal Democrats.
The conservatives gained four seats while Labour lost three and the Liberal Democrats lost one.
UKIP councillors now occupy two of the seats on the council for the first time.
