SOME of the swimmers who raised over £15,000 at an annual swimming event have been presented with trophies.

Dozens of recipients received their accolades at the Soroptimist Swimathon presentation evening in Cheddon Fitzpaine Village Hall on Thursday.

The swim held at Taunton School saw scores of swimmers raise a total of £15,736.01, split between St Margaret’s Hospice, Ups and Downs South West, Benchmark and School in a Bag.

A total of £577,155.09 has been raised in the 27 years the event has been staged.
