LAURA Bailhache of UKIP hopes you'll vote for her - here's what she has to say.

THIS is the most important General Election for generations.

A new party has emerged in the UK, in line with a huge groundswell of public feeling across the UK, Europe and the world, manifesting in various and extremely diverse movements which, combined, will change the world.

The old left wing-right wing pendulum swing has been broken. The ball is dropping. The people are speaking.

We are distinct from the corporations which rule us and united in making our voices heard against crony corporate capitalism; big government, big business and big banks.

In the UK, we start with big government by removing ourselves from the EU and re-drafting our relationship, while reaching out to those Europeans also wanting to be free of the Euro-straitjacket.

EU share of world GDP has been dropping like a stone since the ’80s.

We need to be independent. The nations of Europe need to be independent. We need our arms free to tackle the beast. Mega-corp. The big six (or so) of whichever big industry you care to name.

Why is public policy always conducted in their interests? Why are board-level salaries so big and individual wages so tiny? Why do they always hurt the poorest the most? Who are our army, our police, our providers of public services, really working for?

We need, want and deserve answers. We are funding this madness, after all.

Where is the money going? Big birds in featherstuffed nests are taking all our wealth whilst we peg away for peanuts.

The government is in the position of the bully bouncer chucking out the table of friends quietly enjoying their last drink instead of tackling the other table of loud obnoxious louts ruining the atmosphere.

The government is also an obnoxious lout, whilst holding a position of responsibility.

We must hold government and Parliament to account. The start must be to get the new party into Parliament in numbers.

We are all part of making that happen. We are already starting to do this in increasing numbers, particularly via the internet. iDemocracy must be organized to take off in a formal manner, speaking directly to power.

Then to begin to tackle the other big beasts: the monopolies and cartels. People must be able to outvote corporations for the protection of ourselves and our planet.

People must speak to be heard.

The people’s purple army is proud to promote their voice.
