RESIDENTS at a Bridgwater Care Home celebrated St George’s Day in style with a performance from Daisy Chain Productions.

Staff at the Rosary Nursing Home in Mayfield Drive also decorated the home in red, white and blue as residents had a good old fashioned “knees-up” in honour of the patron saint.

Rosary resident, Linda Jones, 65, said: “I really enjoyed the music, I love rock ‘n’ roll – I didn’t want the performance to finish.”

Fellow resident, 82-year-old Ken Wilson, added: “The entertainers looked fantastic and they sang very well too. It was a good afternoon.”

Care home manager, Lyn Taylor, said: “Everyone had a fantastic time at our celebrations – the residents always love a good show and Daisy Chain Productions didn’t disappoint.

“Many of our residents have celebrated St George’s Day for several decades, so it’s important for them to continue to mark this patriotic occasion.”
