CALLING all young cricket fans and budding sports journalists - win a chance of a lifetime to be a match day reporter at a Somerset home NatWest T20 Blast fixture. 

You could win a day out to remember whilst also adding to your CV in our Match Day Reporter competition.

We’ve teamed up with Somerset County Cricket Club to offer a prize package of:

• A pair of tickets for the winner to one of six Somerset home games in the NatWest T20 Blast competition.

• Access to the post-match press conference

• Report to appear in the County Gazette and on-line at www.somersetcountygazette.co.uk and www.somersetcountycc.co.uk

HOW TO ENTER

Write a preview of Somerset County Cricket Club’s NatWest T20 Blast season, as if for publication in the Somerset County Gazette, of no more than 250 words.

Include your name, date of birth, address, email address, and a contact phone number.

The deadline for entries is midnight on Sunday, May 17. 

Entries by under-18s must also include the full name and signature of their parent/guardian.

Entries can be sent to Match Day Reporter competition, Somerset County Gazette, St James Street, Taunton, TA1 1JR.

Anyone under the age of 19 who lives in the UK is welcome to enter.

Representatives of the County Gazette and Somerset County Cricket Club will judge the entries to choose the six winners.

Terms and conditions - Special Rules

1. Competition open to anyone in the UK aged 18 or under subject to parental consent.

2. Competition closes May 17.

3. Send your 250-word preview and personal details information as specified to the above address. No entries will be returned.

4. Prize excludes extras such as transport, parking or any accommodation.

5. Winners are recommended to attend an hour before the start of the match

6. If a Prize Match is not played for any reason beyond Somerset County Cricket Club’s control, including bad weather, no alternative be given.

8. Winners will be invited to an interview with a Somerset County Cricket Club player (nominated by the Club after the match) and write a match report (which may be edited) to be published in the Somerset County Gazette and on-line at www.somersetcountygazette.co.uk and www.somersetcountycc.co.uk

9. The County Gazette reserves the right to verify the eligibility and identity of any entrant, including by means of a passport as identification.
