LOCAL charity C.L.O.W.N.S. celebrated its 20th anniversary with a special day at Minehead Rugby Club.

The event also marked the retirement of manager Kathy Morton.

Kathy, who has been manager of C.L.O.W.N.S. since its inception, is retiring from the role but will continue to work on certain days on the C.L.O.W.N.S. Playbus.

Jan Ross, chairman of the charity, said Kathy has played a pivotal role in helping C.L.O.W.N.S. grow, from providing a playbus to running activity sessions herself. J

an said: “Kathy is renowned for her endless enthusiasm, creative ideas and energy, and her wonderful example of quality working with children of all ages.”

People who have been involved with C.L.O.W.N.S. over the past 20 years attended the celebrations, which included coffee, tea and cake with the playbus outside and activities in the hall for children.
