A CHARD pharmacist is set to test his brainpower as he prepares for the filming of TV game show, Countdown.

Ian McKillop, who works for Lloyds Pharmacy based at Somerfield in Chard, auditioned for the show in Exeter in January.

Ian, who has also appeared on Mastermind twice, said he is looking forward to the filming, which is due to take place in Leeds on March 28.

He said: "I'm looking forward to meeting Carol Vorderman and the filming of the show.

"I'm not sure when it will be broadcast, but I expect they will tell me that when we record it."
