THERE was no sign of a Bridgwater man slowing down as he celebrated his 70th birthday at the weekend with a ride on a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Kelvin Meadows marked his big day loud and proud with a surprise procession of Harleys organised by his family.
After arriving in style at the New Foresters pub, Kelvin, his family and friends went inside to enjoy the birthday party.
As a bonus the birthday treat raised money for the local children’s hospice.
Bridgwater HOG’s Debs Atterton said: “Kelvin was over the moon despite the weather, which was blowing a gale.
“We took him up to Brean and back, and you could tell he loved it. As he got off the bike I asked him if he was cold and he just had this big smile on his face.
“The family had a collection bucket out all day and managed to raise £300 which we’ll donate to the Children’s Hospice South-West.”
