Westonzoyland to hold scarecrow contest for 500 year celebrations
APRIL will see the next event in the celebrations to mark 500 years of Westonzoyland with a scarecrow competition.
Village residents are asked to enter their effigies by April 12 with Zoyfest 500 judges deciding on the winner a week later.
The start of the celebrations was marked with a lantern parade through the village streets in February followed by a Tudor experience earlier this month.
