HARRY Potter, Where’s Wally, Little Red Riding Hood, and even Scooby Doo could all be found in Burnham and Highbridge last week as schools across the area dressed up for World Book Day.
The event, which aims to celebrate the diverse world of literature, was a big hit with young and old alike dressing as characters from their favourite books.
Staff and students at King Alfred came to school dressed as characters from Pokemon to Little Red Riding Hood while St Joseph’s School and nursery was bursting with all sorts of literary characters.
East Brent First School and Pre-school enjoyed lots of book-based activities and decided to encourage parents and grandparents to join in telling stories at the end of the day.
