BUSINESS in Somerset will be the focus of a hustings event in Bridgwater when parliamentary candidates for Bridgwater and West Somerset will debate the issues.
The meeting at Bridgwater College’s Cannington Centre will give the local business community a chance to hear from and influence candidates prior to the General Election on May 7.
Those in attendance will be able to put their questions to Ian Liddell-Grainger MP (Conservative), Mick Lerry (Labour), Theo Butt Philip (Liberal Democrat), Julie Harvey-Smith (Green) and Stephen Fitzgerald (UKIP).
The Somerset Chamber hustings, organised with the Bridgwater Chamber of Commerce, will hear candidates’ views on various business issues including developing business talents, long-term investment and international trade.
The event will be held on Tuesday, April 14, at 6.30pm with tickets costing £10 – for more information visit www.somerset-chamber.co.uk
