High Street roadworks in Chard due to new Solar Farm
Roadworks currently ongoing in Chard's high street, due to the introduction of a new Solar Farm, will finish in May.
The work is being carried out by Western Power Distribution.
A WDP spokesman told The News: "The road works are due to a new high voltage supply for a solar farm on Snowdon Hill.
"This is ongoing works and it commenced on March 2 and will finish on May 10, but will be clear of the centre by April 15.
"The work is to go through the A30 to Millfield."
