THE managing director of a Bridgwater recruitment business was invited to an event with the Chancellor George Osborne at 11 Downing Street.
Red Berry Recruitment MD Helen Lacey was asked to attend the event by James Heappey, Conservative prospective Parliamentary candidate for Wells .
She was one of three business owners invited to the evening, with James Simpson of the Food Service Centre in Cheddar and Alex Turco from Positive Wealth Creation based in Burnham.
The event celebrated small businesses in the UK and allowed the Chancellor to gauge business confidence and discuss issues facing businesses.
Helen said: βIt was a lovely evening. Not many people have the opportunity to attend Downing Street so it was a privilege to be asked.β
