A PERSON was taken to hospital after being rescued from a house fire earlier this morning, Wednesday, February 18.
Firefighters were called to the blaze in Cheddon Road, Taunton, at 4.49am by a neighbour, who said the occupants were still in the two-storey building.
One person was rescued from the building by around 5am and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Musgrove Park Hospital.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “All persons were accounted for, but crews were still at work at 5.30am, fighting from the front and rear of the property.”
The British Red Cross Fire Emergency Support Services vehicle and team were also in attendance.
