THE annual Debenhams dinner dance raised £3,600 for charity, with £600 of that donated to Taunton-based Somerset Unit for Radiotherapy Equipment, which buys equipment for the Beacon Centre cancer unit at Musgrove Park Hospital.
Other donations to the County Gazette-backed charity last week included £100 from the Moorhens, of Exford and £21.45 from Mrs D. Gange.
Collections of 5p coins amounted to £85.21 from the St Michaels Ladies Group, £79.95 from the Beacon Centre, £52.50 from Joan Greedy and friends and £4 from Shirley Luscombe.
The latest total of £943.11 manes the total raised since SURE linked up with the Gazette now stands at £507,242.
