BIKE thieves are less likely to get away with their crimes thanks to a security marking session in Taunton.

Cyclists queued up for PCSOs to stencil unique codes that are difficult to remove on their bikes.

They were charged just £5 to take part in the Bike Register scheme in the town centre and they were also offered crime prevention advice, including details of the Immobilise website, where people can register belongings such as iPads, mobiles and laptops for free.

The next Taunton bike marking event in Taunton is free and takes place at Priorswood Place, Taunton, on Tuesday, February 17, from 10am to 1pm.
