AFRICA came to Bridgwater College recently when students took part in a special day to learn about African culture.
Students studying for an extended diploma in animal management at the college’s Cannington centre took part in ‘Africa Day’.
It involved an African drumming workshop, and they took part in other activities, such as water walking, guess the nose and African roulette.
The day provided an opportunity for students to develop their understanding of African culture, receive talks and participate in research projects to enhance their knowledge of various parts of Africa.
All activities helped to raise funds for the African Wildlife Foundation and Oxfam.
The college canteen provided African-themed dishes and students dressed up for the day.
The students raised a grand total of £185 for charity.
