BURNHAM emergency services were called to a car which was found on its roof in a water-filled ditch last night (Monday).
Police and firefighters were mobalised to the incident in Brean Road, Lympsham at around 8pm.
Initial fears that a person could be trapped inside the overturned vehicle meant that two fire engines from Burnham and a resuce tender vehicle from Glastonbury attended.
Crew used water saftey equipment tosearch the vehilce but found that nobody was trapped inside.
A sweep of the area near the car was then undertaken using a thermal imaging camera to search for injured persons who may have escaped from the crashed vehicle.
