MINEHEAD RNLI has demonstrated just how 'happy' they are in a parody video which was played at their annual Christmas party.

Helmsman Phil Sanderson, the brains behind the video, said that it was his turn to deliver a speech at the party held for crew members and special guests.

“I’m not very good at public speaking so I made a video instead,” said Phil.

“I didn’t really ask the crew members if they wanted to do it, I just turned up at their workplaces and got them to do it!

“I wanted to show them in their everyday jobs, not just their role in the RNLI.

“Some of them didn’t quite make the timing with the lip-syncing but I think we can let them off.”

The RNLI is a charity that saves lives at sea, providing a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service.
