RESIDENTS in Stockmoor and Wilstock saw the festive joy spread to their villages last week as their Christmas tree arrived.
Every year North Petherton Town Council donates Christmas trees to the towns and villages in the parish and this festive season it has also provided a tree for both Stockmoor and Wilstock.
The trees, which are around 10ft tall, are lit up with flashing lights at night and the Stockmoor and Wilstock Residents’ Association (SAWRA) vice chairman Richard Ives, suggested that it should be fully decorated complete with tinsel, baubles and a Christmas star.
Members of the local community gathered on sunny winter Saturday to hang baubles on the Wilstock Christmas tree.
