PEOPLE are being urged to dig deep and donate items to help people in Bridgwater who are struggling to make ends meet this Christmas.

Red Berry Recruitment has joined forces with the Trussell Trust run foodbank in Bridgwater to help boost their supplies as part of their Christmas campaign to help local good causes.

People are now invited to drop off items at their office in Angel Crescent such as toiletries and non perishable foods such as pasta and biscuits.

Adminstrator, Leanna Corbett, said: “We wanted to support a good cause this year as every year we lend our support at Christmas.

“People have seen the sign at our office and have already started dropping things off and there are a few boxes and bags already full of donations.

“The collection is running until Friday (December 12) and we would welcome more items to help the people in Bridgwater who can’t afford some of these things over the Christmas period.”
