AN OUTREACH programme designed to give consumer advice to people in and around Cannington has celebrated its first anniversary.

It has been a year since help and advice opened their first outreach at Cannington United Reformed Church.

Over the past 12 months, more than 100 people have received help and advice from Sedgemoor Citizens Advice, Sedgemoor District Council and Bridgwater and District Credit Union.

The outreach has now been extended to provide a community hub where local residents can enjoy an afternoon tea, meet new people and also seek help and advice from a number of service providers.

Join them from 1-4pm every Wednesday afternoon.

The partnership operates three dropin centres in Cannington, Nether Stowey and North Petherton; for more details visit haasedgemoor.org.uk
