WITH Christmas approaching, students from Chilton Trinity are getting in the festive mood in their plans for their biggest concert of the year - the Winter Wonders Concert.

The Year 11 Music BTEC group are organising the whole concert, which involves a group of students transforming the spaces around the school to create a magical atmosphere, setting up a choir group and taking care of all the advertising and marketing.

Last year the concert raised nearly £700 for Bristol Children's Hospital, and this year the students have selected Bridgwater’s Brainwave as their chosen charity Music teacher Nicola Helps said: “The students are busy preparing and planning for the concert and it is set to be a magical experience for all involved.

'It will be a sensational evening of musical acts, which will get everyone in the Christmas mood.

“It is truly wonderful to see 15 and 16-year-olds feel so passionately about raising money for a local charity and work so creatively to organise what promises to be an amazing event.”

The Winter Wonders concert will be held on Wednesday 17th December at 7pm and tickets are available from the school reception.
