SOLICITORS in Burnham are reminding residents to take advantage of Will Aid’s Make a Will Month.
The scheme gives people the opportunity to have a will written by a solicitor without paying the normal fee. Instead they are inviting clients to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid.
The suggested donation is £95 for a single basic will or £150 for a pair of mirror wills.
The money raised is shared bewteen ActionAid, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Age UK, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF in Scotland and Trocaire in Northern Ireland.
More than half of British people do not have a will with most mistakenly believing that their loved ones will automatically inherit.
According to Will Aid last year £8million went to the Government because people died without a will.
