NEW life has been breathed into Bridgwater Arts Centre with the bar area undergoing a major revamp while the venue was closed over the summer.

A team of volunteers has refurbished the bar area at the Castle Street venue to make it a more welcoming and comfortable area for visitors.

The centre is now ready for its new season with an exhibition, Come Outside, organised by Chandos Society of Artists.

During summer artists have been out and about capturing scenes around Bridgwater, Watchet and Cheddar.

The results form a stunning exhibition which opens with the preview tomorrow (Wednesday) from 6pm-8pm, when all are welcome to enjoy a free glass of wine while taking in the creations on show.

At the preview Watchet gallery owner Nick Cotton will judge the works, after which the winning artist will receive the John Allen Award.

The exhibition will run until September 26.
