FAMILIES looking for thrills and spills should head to the Taunton Racecourse this Saturday - to witness the return of the Somerset Military Tattoo.
The event, in its second year, features six hours of entertainment, family shows, military displays, parachute displays, stalls, an assault course, fun fair, food and refreshments and more.
During the parachute display, team members will jump out of an aircraft from 8,000ft, free-falling for 30 seconds at 120 mph before deploying their parachutes.
The world-famous Band of the Irish Guards will also be appearing.
All proceeds go to ABF The Soldiers' Charity.
Nigel Muers-Raby, of Pardoes Solicitors in Taunton, which is sponsoring the event along with Agusta Westland, took to the streets of Taunton on Saturday in a four-tonne Army vehicle to promote the event.
Nigel said: "What better way to let people know about this amazing event than to ride in one of the best Army vehicles in the UK. Families will have a tremendous day."
