CHILDREN at Bridgwater College Childcare Centre enjoyed their last day of the holiday Playscheme on Friday before the big back to school hype began.

The childcare group, who have been caring for children aged eight and under, has ran the play scheme throughout the summer months with a range of activities to keep the little ones busy.

There was a lot to do inside and out as the weather held up nicely for the children to ride their scooters and play in the outdoor sand pit, as well as games and toys to play with in the centre.

The children also enjoyed some fruit and crackers to keep up their energy levels.

Kate Kift, childcare centre manager, said: “This summer’s Playscheme was a great success.

A number of the children who attended have used the Playscheme previously, or attended the childcare centre in the years before they started school, and we’ve also seen some new faces.

“The children take part in ageappropriate activities, which have included crafts such as making puppets and dream catchers, and cooking up a storm in the centre’s kitchen. The children seemed to really enjoy themselves, and we’re already planning the next Playscheme for the October half term, which will run Monday to Thursday.”
