WORLD, Olympic and National Champions will race to defend their 2013 titles at the Tanks Direct Porlock Hill Climb on Sunday, September 21.

Tejvan Pettinger won the inaugural race last year before winning the 2013 National Hill Climb championship.

The event is open to all and is a chance to meet and ride with champions and experience one of the best hill climb routes in Britain.

There is a prize fund of over £3,000 with prizes for age and gender categories.

Race organiser Ian Piper said: “Minehead Cycling Club is delighted to be able to host the second Porlock Hill Climb and we are grateful to the Porlock Manor Estate for once again offering the beautiful Toll Road for the event and to Tanks Direct for their generous sponsorship of the event, which has allowed such a generous prize pot and covered the infrastructure costs of the event.”

The Tanks Direct Porlock Hill Climb starts at 10am and in the afternoon there will be a British Cycling Go-Ride event for youngsters at 1pm and a family ride at 2pm.

Entry to the race costs £10 through the Cycling Time Trial website cyclingtime trials.org.uk by September 12.
