HEAVY rain over the Bank Holiday failed to dampen the spirits of visitors who attended a historical re-enactment event in Highbridge.
Around 20 groups donned historical costumes to put on demonstrations throughout the two-day nostalgic treat A Walk Through History which took place at Oaktree Arena on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.
The demonstrations allowed people to get involved and engage with the historical re-enactors to learn more about the period concerned.
There was also a collection of military vehicles, classic cars and steam rollers to add to the nostalgic flavour.
Organisers admitted that Monday had been a wash out but many of the groups who took part were keen for the event to return to Highbridge again next year.
