VISITORS have just days left to hunt for 50 fire-breathing dragons which have made their way into the town’s businesses.

Wellington’s hand-crafted dragon trail launched on August 2 in the name of celebrating the town’s independent shops and businesses, and boost support for traders.

The venture concludes on Saturday, and is separate to the Taunton Deane dragons, of which there are three in Wellington.

Organiser Louise Winborn, who works as a childminder, was inspired by the dragon writings of local children’s author Beth Webb, and coordinated an army of crafters in fashioning the Wellington dragons, which are all unique.

“They’re all different, some are small, some big, and they took hours to make – too many to count!”

Pick up a trail sheet while you can for 50p from Artfully Made or Nurtured By Nature in town.

Money raised is going to the Wellington-based Project Wrapped Up 2014, which aims to support children of families and communities facing extreme financial difficulty this Christmas.
