A MAN in his seventies sustained head and neck injuries this morning (Tuesday August 26) after three vehicles crashed on the A38 at Rumwell.
Four ambulances, two fire engines, and a rescue tender from Taunton were sent at around 9.10am to the scene of a crash involving a Renault, a Ford, and a Citroen.
The elderly man was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital for treatment.
Three other casualties, including a 40 year-old man, were treated at the scene by paramedics but did not require hospital treatment.
Fire crews worked to cut free one casualty by cutting the roof off one of the vehicles before stabilising them. The road was reopened shortly after 11am.
