CHILDREN who attend Sunny Ile Pre-School’s Breakfast Club will be enjoying new games thanks to a generous donation from Ilminster Masons.
The organisation handed over £160 to the club, which will be used to buy new games and educational activities.
The breakfast club has been running a year and a half and about 25 youngsters from pre-school to year 4 pupils attend.
Breakfast club leader Cheryl Herrick said: “We are very proud of our breakfast club, which is hugely beneficial for parents and pupils.
“It improves attendance, encourages social skills and starts the day in a positive way.
“Staff and children at the breakfast club are thrilled with the gift.
“We are so grateful for the donation – it is a fantastic amount and we will use it to buy new games for the children to enjoy.
“We would like to thank Roger Allen, secretary at Nyanza Lodge, and the members of the lodge for their kind donation.”
