WADHAM School is celebrating again after another year of impressive A Level results.

Most notable among the results are those of Nadine Horgan who achieved an A* and two A's, while Amy Bennett and Megan White, who both got two A*s and a B.

Nearly half of students in year 13 got at least the equivalent of two A* to B grades, the grades generally needed to be accepted into most universities.

Deputy head teacher Matthew Gardner said: “Once again, Wadham School can be proud of its students and the results they have achieved at the end of their time in our sixth form.

“The overall pass rate of 98%, in a year that has seen changes to A Level exams, designed by Government to make passing them harder, is impressive.”

Head of sixth form, Henry McNulty, added: “The majority of students who applied to university have gained their first choice and we wish them all the best as they start that new venture.

“We are confident that those who just missed out on their preferred course will secure a place.

“We wish our former students, whether they be going to university, starting an apprenticeship or going into employment, the very best for the future.”
