EDUCATION and internationalism were key elements of Taunton Deane MP Jeremy Browne’s address to the Class of 2014 students at Taunton School International’s annual end-of-year prizegiving.

Commending the 82 students, representing 24 different nationalities, he was somewhat envious of the position they found themselves in having had a wonderful exposure to both the English language and British boarding school education at Taunton School as well as the cultural awareness brought about by daily contact with such a diverse mix of inquiring minds.

Twenty-six of the 82 students will cross Greenway Road to continue their education at Taunton School within the A Level or IB courses in September, to continue with the success already gained in their intensive one-year GCSE/Pre IB course at Taunton School International.

The occasion also saw Jane Barrie, chairman of governors, thank Caroline Nixon for the service she has given to Taunton School International as principal for the past 11 years.
