IF you’re proud of your business why not enter it in the Burnham and Highbridge Weekly Newsbacked Somerset Business Awards.

The awards, run by Somerset Chamber of Commerce, recognise and celebrate Somerset’s outstanding and diverse businesses.

Entry is free and there are 14 categories.

Previous winners have said the prestige has given them a promotional lift and led to an increase in sales.

On Wednesday, July 30, organisers and judges of the awards are inviting Somerset businesses to Woodlands Castle, near Taunton, from 7.45am to inform and inspire them to enter the awards.

Entitled ‘Profiting from Awards’, the workshop will give delegates the opportunity to find out exactly what the judges are looking for from the entrants.

Attendees will also hear from past winners and receive valuable advice on how to produce an outstanding award entry.

You can follow the awards on Twitter at @SomBizAwards.

Bookings for the event can be made via the link at www.somersetchamber.co.uk/event s/somersetchamber For entry details, click on www.somersetbusinessawards.org.uk

Deadline for entries is midday on August 29 and the presentation ceremony will be held at Westland Conference and Leisure Complex in Yeovil on Friday, October 17.
