A TAUNTON college is launching its own driving school for students for the start of the new term.

Richard Huish College, in association with driving instructors Green 4 Go, will kick start their ‘Huish Driving School – Drive Your Success’ campaign in September by offering hundreds of students the chance to venture out under controlled supervision and learn the rules of the road.

Learners will be conveniently picked up and dropped off at college, with lesson times built into their timetable at regular slots and can be easily booked through the college. Students will receive free access to an online theory website as well as driving theory sessions at the college.

Huish Driving School lead Gavin Whitworth said: “One of the things that most students do during their time at college is start to learn to drive so the launch of Huish Driving School is a fantastic way in which we can provide further services to our students and enhance their experience of the college. The driving lessons can be timetabled into student’s free periods making it convenient for them to fit the training into their college day.”

Green 4 Go Co-Director and instructor Simon Holland said: “We’re delighted to be working with Richard Huish College on this exciting new venture. It’s fantastic that the students will benefit in this way and be taught how to drive safely on our roads.”
