ST Mary's Church in Chard is hosting an exhibition on Saturday August 2 between 10am and 12pm of letters, photos and other information related to the Great War. There will also be an opportunity to go up the tower of the church. On Sunday (August 3) at 10am there will be a special service marking the 100th anniversary. A rosemary bush will be planted in the church yard and everyone will receive a pot of rosemary to take home and plant in their garden to remember that peace is and always will be the ultimate goal.
