A RENEWABLE energy company has officially submitted plans for a solar park in Mark.
As reported, Developer Hadstone Energy held a public consultation in June and has now registered plans for the 3 megawatt solar park at Yardwall Manor Farm off Yardwall Road, Mark.
The Yardwall project would span five hectares of farm land and would generate enough electricity to power 600 homes per year.
Generated electricity will feed into the local distribution network via an on-site connection and the project is hoped to save 1,250 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.
Hadstone Energy has already created a ten megawatt Solar Farm on 60 acres of farmland at Pillmore Lane near Watchfield.
