A DRAMA school hopeful from Bridgwater who has been acting, singing and dancing since he was nine hopes two town hall concerts will help him achieve his theatrical ambitions.
Bridgwater College student Harry Winchester has been offered a place at world-acclaimed Arts Educational Schools in London but does not have the funds to pay for his place at the private college.
So he, along with a raft of Bridgwater area talent, is staging two Music of the Night concerts next month in the hope of raising enough money to make his dreams a reality.
Harry has long been a member of several performing arts groups in the town, including Renegades Carnival Club, and is studying towards his Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts.
He said: “Arts Educational Schools have produced great musical theatre performers, actors and singers such as Julie Andrews, Samantha Barkes, Bonnie Langford, Will Young, Nigel Harman and Martin Clunes.”
Harry is completely depending on fundraising from the concerts to enable him to go on the course, with financial support unavailable.
The Music of the Night concerts at Bridgwater Town Hall on Friday and Saturday, August 1-2, start at 7.30pm.
Tickets to help Harry are £10 – call 07748-978286 or email helpingharry@ hotmail.com
