IT’S hotter in Chard and Ilminster than parts of Portugal and Spain today (July 23).
Temperatures are set to reach sizzling highs again with 30C (86F) expected in some exposed locations.
The mercury is set to hover around 26-28C in most areas and the hot weather is predicted to continue into the weekend.
The hot weather brings with it a risk of heavy downpours though and the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for torrential showers and the chance of thunderstorms tomorrow (July 24).
