PETER Renshaw is the new chairman of the League of Friends, which raises funds to support Taunton’s Musgrove Park Hospital.
He replaces Peter Gibbs, who was in the post for two years, during which time the league raised £58,000 for a spinal microscope and handed over £400,000 to refurbish A&E abd paid to furnish the new Jubilee Building patient room.
At the league’s AGM, clinical director Colin Close said: “Thank you for the enormous contribution made by the league over the past year and especially the refurbishment to A&E.”
