A MOTHER and daughter are taking their fundraising to new heights by shaving their heads to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Jade Kelland, from Bridgwater, and mum Allison Cleal, who lives in Taunton, have raised money for the charity via raffles and fetes in the past but felt they needed to step it up a gear for this year’s fundraising event.
Allison said: “We’ve done lots of fundraisers before but we thought we’d go one step further this year by shaving our heads.
“Jade and I have had family members diagnosed with cancer and have seen them go through chemotherapy and lose their hair.
“We want to share our support and we have chosen to do this, people with cancer do not.”
The head shave fundraiser will take place on July 25.
