THE woman who died after being hit by a train on the outskirts of Taunton at the weekend has been identified but not yet named.
Police are not treating the circumstances of the 49-year-old's death as suspicious.
The incident happened at Bathpool Bridge shortly before 2.30pm on Saturday.
The Coroner has been informed and an inquest is likely to be opened and adjourned later this week.
Post mortem tests concluded that the woman, who was from the Taunton area, died from multiple injuries.
