DEMOLITION work has started on a former snooker hall to make way for a block of flats.
The back end of the Rileys building, in Kingston Road, Taunton, has been knocked down and will be replaced by 29 one-bedroom and 11 two-bed apartments.
No 1 Kingston Road Ltd, which owns the building which closed in November 2012, are also installing bike sheds and car parking.
The company bought the premises, which used to house the old Kingston’s nightclub, after it went to the market with a guide price of £125,000 to £150,000.
