DELICIOUS cakes and hot drinks were available on Friday when St Margaret’s Hospice held a ‘Cream Tea Event’ in St Andrew’s Church Hall, Burnham.
The successful event raised an impressive £300 for the charity and local businesses including Morrison’s, Tesco, Asda, Westcroft Eggs and Cricketer Farm donated provisions to add to the amount raised.
Julie Draper, fundraiser for St Margaret’s in Bridgwater and West Somerset, said: “We wish to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended the event and a special thank you to St Margaret’s Hospice volunteers.”
A ‘Time For Tea’ event will also be held on Wednesday, July 2, at the Baptist Church Hall, College Street, Burnham from 3pm.
